This research aims to describe the implementation of accreditation at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The approach and method in this research used descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques from interviews, observations, and document studies. Data analysis techniques are carried out with qualitative analysis techniques which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that SMP 1 Muhammadiyah has successfully implemented the accreditation process comprehensively and effectively. Careful preparation before the visitation helped the school to fulfill the national standards of education well. The visitation by the assessors was conducted systematically, including observations, data verification, and in-depth interviews. The accreditation result obtained by the school was at level A ('Excellent'). The final evaluation and discussion between the principal and the accreditation team also showed the commitment to improve the school's education quality based on the recommendations given.
