Peer Reviewers Process

Every manuscript submitted to AL-IBNOR: Journal of Education undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, and relevance of the published articles. In this process, both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential from each other.

Review Stages

  1. Initial Screening by the Editorial Team
    • Each submitted manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure its conformity with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, and formatting requirements.
    • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be returned to the authors for revision before being sent to reviewers.
  2. Assignment of Reviewers
    • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
    • If the two reviewers provide significantly different evaluations, a third reviewer may be assigned to ensure a fair and balanced assessment.
  3. Review Process
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria: originality, academic contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the field of education and Islamic studies.
    • Review outcomes are categorized as follows:
      1. Accept without revision,
      2. Accept with minor revision,
      3. Accept with major revision, or
      4. Reject.
  4. Revision by the Author
    • Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and recommendations.
    • Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers if deemed necessary by the editor.
  5. Final Decision
    • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial team’s evaluation.
    • Accepted manuscripts will proceed to the copyediting, layout editing, and publication stages.
